6th Grade Cotillion

6th Grade Crocker Cotillion
Cotillion dance lessons are included in your Crocker dues.
Please mark your calendars and in the next few months, watch your email inbox for an invitation via Evite.com for your son or daughter to attend the 2018 6th Grade Crocker Cotillion.  

Eight Cotillion sessions will be held in the Crocker MPR on Monday nights from 7-8 pm, beginning on January  – March , 2018, (excluding February th and March th). 

The finale on March 27th will include a special Parent/Child dance (mother/son, father/daughter). 

Please be sure to RSVP by December 23rd if your child plans to attend!

The Cotillion dates are:

The last Cotillion  will be the Father/Daughter and Mother/son escort dance.  Please mark your calendars so each respective parent will escort their child and attend the dance on March .
Your son or daughter will learn roughly five popular ballroom dances including the Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango and the Cha-cha-cha.  The instruction is done by Barry Woodruff, who has been leading the Crocker Cotillion for many, many years.  The training is done in both small and large group settings.  Your child will learn about the protocol with respect to formal dancing; from asking for the dance, to dancing, to escorting their dance partner back to their seats, etc.  

Dress code: 
             Attire for boys: coat and tie, slacks, dress shoes.
            Attire for girls: knee length dresses, shoulders covered, mandatory white gloves, low heeled, dance appropriate shoes or  flats.
  Please note... this is the CROCKER Cotillion, not to be confused 
with the non-Crocker Junior Manners' Cotillion program.
