Q: What time does school start and end?

A: Regular Crocker hours are 8:30 AM to 3:20 PM. The first bell rings at 8:25 AM, and students must be in their seats by 8:30 AM. Thursdays are minimum days, with hours from 8:30 AM to 2:16 PM. There are also a few noon-dismissal days throughout the year. Refer to this year's published Bell Schedule.

Q: What time is drop off and where do I drop off my child?

A: Morning drop-off is between 8:10 AM and 8:30 AM at the blacktop (drive-through only). Traffic can be heavy, so carpooling is highly recommended. Please refer to the "Crocker Drop Off/ Pick Up Procedures".

Q: What time is pick up and where do I pick up my child?

A: Regular pick-up is at 3:20 PM at the blacktop (drive-through only). On Thursdays, dismissal is early at 2:16 PM. Traffic can be heavy, so carpooling is highly recommended. Refer to the "Crocker Drop Off/ Pick Up Procedures".

Q: How long is each period?  How long is recess?

A: First period is 60 minutes long, and each subsequent period is 55 minutes long. There is one 16-minute recess period, and four minutes are allowed for passing between classes. On minimum days, all classes are shortened (1st period is 57 minutes; 2nd through 6th periods are 45 minutes). Please refer to this year's published Bell Schedule for full details. Q: Do I need to get supplies?

A: At the start of the school year, teachers will give out their syllabuses to students and the list of supplies needed will be stated. 

Crocker will provide students with the following: School Planner, Chromebook, Chromebook case & charger, and notebooks for math, English, and Science.

These are recommended general supplies you can get for your student(s) : backpack, pencil pouch/case, pencils, pencil sharpener, pens (blue, black), and highlighters (two colors). Some students like a binder but others do not. Texas Instruments (TI)34 calculator is used in 7th and 8th grades. Lockers will be assigned in the first days of school, and the students will practice opening them. 

Q: Is there a meal program at Crocker?

A: Yes, Hillsborough City School District provides free breakfast and lunch to all students who request a meal under California’s Universal Meals mandate. We are continuing with Ordo as our Vended Meals Provider for a second year.

Q: Does Crocker have PE uniforms and if so where does my child get one?

A: One PE Uniform will be PROVIDED at the beginning of the year for all 6th grade students and any new student to Crocker. Any additional PE uniforms can be purchased at MySchoolBucks. More info on dress code, shoe requirements, and links to purchase individual uniform pieces can be found on the Crocker PE Website HERE. The PE department asks that your student wear athletic clothing (easy to move, run in) and laced up running, athletic shoes.

Q: How do I volunteer as a parent?

A: All Crocker volunteer opportunities and sign-up sheets are managed directly through Konstella. Click HERE to register for Konstella and access the portal and view the committee roles.

Q: What are class competitions, how do classes earn points, and what is the prize? 

A: Each year, a friendly competition takes place between the 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade classes to win a highly coveted, surprise end-of-the-year grade-level field trip! Classes earn competition points by participating in school spirit dress-up days, Crocker intramural lunchtime sports, the annual canned food drive, and other designated competition events throughout the year.

A:  Stay in the know with the Konstella app and email notifications.  Read the "Crocker Viking News" that is emailed to you bi-monthly and "Principal Updates" emailed every Wednesday.  Superintendent newsletters are emailed every Friday.
