Skis or snowboard, boots, poles, etc. (Must bring own or rent locally and bring it on the bus)
Warm, water-resistant jacket and ski/board pants
Goggles (or Sunglasses if spring skiing temps)
Ski Snowboard Gloves or Mittens
Base layer or thermals under water-resistant jacket/ski pants (shirt, pants, socks) that can be worn externally for the bus rides AND/OR Pack a change of socks/shirt/pants in backpack.
Sunscreen and Chapstick
Extra money for incidentals or extra food (NOTE: All participants will receive a breakfast bag, $15 voucher for lunch, and dinner. Participants may bring additional snacks and money to purchase from the resort cafe.)
Optional:
Hothands Hand Warmers (Useful for low 30s and below temps)
Extra money for locker rentals. Backpacks, shoes and non-valuables can be left on the bus or placed in lockers. Students will NOT have access to anything left on the bus until the bus returns for pick-up at 4PM. Chaperones will not watch or be responsible for students' belongings.
What should be worn on the bus?
Please have students wear their ski clothes on the bus, except ski/board boots, which they will carry on to the bus along with backpacks and helmets. It’s best to dress in layers for changing weather and temperatures.
Skis, poles and boards will be stowed beneath the bus. Chaperones will label and rubber band each student’s gear together for easier loading and unloading.
Can I rent equipment and/or winter attire from Dodge Ridge?
No, all skiers/boarders must bring their own equipment and winter gear with them to maximine ski/boarding time. No rentals at Dodge Ridge will be accommodated.
Where can I rent or purchase ski/snowboard equipment and winter gear?
Sports Basement, various locations including Redwood City, Stonestown, San Francisco
Helm of Sun Valley, San Mateo
The Crocker Parent Group does not endorse or approve any specific rental or equipment provider. The aforementioned Peninsula locations are provided for informational purposes only.
Should I wear a helmet?
Yes, ski/snowboard helmets are mandatory. Bike, skateboarding or other sports helmets not certified for skiing or snowboarding are not designed to protect for downhill snow sports.
While we believe in safety as much as we believe in fun, note that helmets may mitigate or reduce the severity of some head injuries. However, their use does not guarantee prevention of all injuries. Students must obey the rules of the mountain and make good choices!
Where can I learn more about Mountain Safety?
When do I arrive at Crocker to catch the Ski Bus?
Arrive PROMPTLY at 430AM on Saturday, March 9th to check-in and load equipment. Buses will depart promptly at 5AM (we will not be able to wait for any late arrivals).
What about food and drinks?
Breakfast bags will be distributed as students load the bus. Students will receive a lunch voucher for the Dodge Ridge cafe. Dinner will be provided as well. Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies in the Permission Form.
Students are welcome to bring extra snacks and drinks, and money to purchase additional food.

Hi, we are kicking off our admissions season with Padre Previews up and down the peninsula. We have upcoming Padre Previews in Hillsborough (10/15) and San Mateo (10/17 & 10/23), but please see the website to register and for a complete list of locations.
Padre Previews are designed for middle schoolers and their parents to hear from teachers, administrators, Serra Padres and current Serra parents about the Serra community. There are many opportunities to talk to people one on one and learn from a variety of perspectives what the Serra experience is all about.
Padre Previews are ideal for 7th and 8th grade boys and their parents and a great way to learn about Serra. We also love younger brothers who may want to become Padres!
Thank you,
Benay Todzo

I hope this email finds you well!
My name is Oriana Isaacson, and I am Crystal’s Interim Director of Admission.
Our application went live this week, and we are excited to offer prospective families a variety of ways to get to know Crystal through our Connect with Crystal series:
Application 101, a video overview of our application process
Why Crystal, our weekly virtual information session
Family Tours, weekly in-person campus tours
Live, our in-person weekend event
Celebrate Scholarship, a virtual event focused on academics
Engage with Enthusiasm, a virtual event focused on student life
Building Community, a virtual event focused on our parent/guardian community

I look forward to working with you all this season! Please reach out if you have any questions.
All the best,
Oriana
